STUVA Conference I Successful Conclusion of the Exhibition
Conference with the latest 2G+ regulation
The STUVA conference was the last exhibition for us in 2021. Despite the critical point in time at the end of November, the STUVA conference took place this year and was well attended thanks to the 2G+ regulation. There were various specialist lectures on the subject of tunnel construction and the participating exhibitors presented their products and services from the industry at the Expo.
The STUVA Conference 2021 in Karlsruhe
This year, the tunnel industry gathered for a joint exchange and networking in Karlsruhe, Baden Württemberg. For the past 60 years, the STUVA has taken place every 2 years in various major cities in Germany.
We have been attending and exhibiting for a long time at the STUVA Conference and Expo, even if the company name has changed a few times. Whether PHOENIX AG, ContiTech AG or Dätwyler Sealing Technologies Deutschland GmbH, the people and the expertise are identical. We look back on a long tradition and are proud to have introduced multiple innovations in sealing technology over the time.
Appropriately, SEALABLE Product Development Manager Daniel Trautmann said in an interview:
"With our decades of experience in the industry and our know-how in dealing with EPDM rubber, we can offer every customer the best sealing solution for their upcoming tunnel construction project."
We enjoyed the flood of information about tunnel construction from the specialist lectures and exhibitors. Thanks to such events, you are well informed about the latest developments and challenges and can identify trends and incorporate them into your own product portfolio.
The discipline of everyone involved made the event a successful end of the year and we look forward to the next STUVA conference in Munich in 2023 with confidence, when the tunneling family will meet again and provide new insights into underground construction.
We had great contacts and meetings during the STUVA at our booth and interesting and deep conversation.
Peter Tiedemann, Project Manager Tunnelling
The STUVA e.V. as a research company
The STUVA e.V. is a non-profit and internationally active research company that deals with the improvement of inner-city traffic and underground construction. It currently has around 250 corporate members, including our colleague Oliver Pasemann (Product Development Tunnelling).
He sits on the STUVA committee and works together with the research institute on the official recommendations for sealing frames in segment linings. The 2nd edition contains selection recommendations for the optimal sealing profile based on comparable test results for the respective application as well as instructions for the manufacture and installation of sealing frames. This can be purchased as a print edition directly from STUVA.
