New energy through MBO
Open new markets: As an entrepreneur and managing director, we have set ourselves this goal! In May 2020, we took over the company from the previous owner, the Swiss industrial supplier Datwyler. Our company is now called SEALABLE Solutions GmbH located in Thuringia, which can look back on a long history. It took more than two years to prepare for the takeover. "Now we bought the company with the help of an experienced investment company, through a management buy-out," Matthias Orth explains.
We secure 180 jobs and a lot of know-how
Since 2012, our company as Datwyler Sealing Technologies had been part of the Swiss group of companies, but no longer fit the core business and the future of the Group. Curse and blessing at the same time! But you know you're growing with your challenges.
For us as new entrepreneurs, the takeover was not an easy task. Although we come from the region and have been working for many years as managing directors and sales managers in the company, we now have a lot more responsibility.
The motto is to turn ideas into actions. Very important for us is to secure the jobs and the know-how at the site in Waltershausen. Matthias Klug's comment:
We want to boost sales even in difficult times, open-up new markets and supply existing customers with the quality they are used to.
As a medium-sized company, we see ourselves well equipped for this, as in the last eight years alone we have invested EUR 7 million into the latest technology. In addition, a dedicated development department provides new ideas.
Furthermore, our new name SEALABLE provides a breeze of fresh air. "Seal" stands for "seal" and "able" in English, and "pioneers in profiles" for innovative ideas. The name has changed, but the quality of the products and our know-how remain the same. This is due to the existing staff and modern machinery.
We do not deliver anything off the shelf, and we are especially motivated where the competition is giving up.

The expertise of the company includes as well other qualities. In addition to profiles for industry, such as window seals or sea cables covers, there are as well compression seals for segmental precast tunnelling or track product systems for railway, metro and trams. These track products are used to dampen vibrations and mitigate sound and reduce stray current.
