INNOTRANS I International Trade Fair for Transport Technology
InnoTrans 2026: Four Days of Hands-On Technology
and Great Conversations
From 22 to 25 September, Berlin once again became the meeting point for the international rail industry. For SEALABLE, it was four days filled with technical discussions, new connections and face-to-face encounters. Also on show: our solutions for railway track superstructure, a larger exhibition booth and a new mascot that quickly caught everyone’s attention.
INNOTRANS 2026 in Berlin
Visitors to our booth in Hall 25 may have noticed a little more space this year. Expanded from 38 to 50 square metres, it offered more room for our exhibits and for what makes trade fairs truly valuable: connecting and exchanging ideas.
After a few minor hiccups at the start, the team quickly got into the swing of things. Long-standing partners stopped by, new connections were made, and the samples on display sparked plenty of technical discussions. Topics ranged from rail insulation and vibration protection to the specific requirements of different installation conditions.
Alexander Moog, Application Engineer Track Superstructure at SEALABLE, sums up the conversations at our booth perfectly:
“Many things are easier to explain directly using a physical sample than with a drawing. When we look at the installation situation together, we quickly get to the questions that really matter for the specific application.”
Our new giveaway, a black octopus, also became quite the talking point. After a slightly longer journey across the sea, he made it to Berlin just in time. Even during booth setup, the first questions about his name started coming in. Over the course of the trade fair, our new giveaway quickly became a little crowd favourite: Oktavius Oktopus, or Okki for short. His fellow octopuses brought plenty of smiles to visitors’ faces and are now making their way into the rail industry.
A trade fair booth comes to life through the people who are part of it. Our team, our partners and our visitors made these four days special – with technical discussions, familiar faces and plenty of moments of shared laughter.

Working Together for Better Green Tracks
How can green tram tracks be combined with the demands of everyday operations? This is a question we have been exploring together with BERA since the beginning of this year. At InnoTrans, our cooperation partner showcased its RailFix solution directly at our booth.
Under the theme “RCS® meets RailFix”, we are combining our expertise in rail insulation with BERA’s modular green track system. The result is a joint solution that brings together green tracks, trafficability and vibration protection. RailFix’s high-strength cellular modules provide a stable foundation for vegetation while allowing emergency and service vehicles to drive over the tracks. They retain rainwater, supply the plants with moisture and drain away excess water. Through natural evaporation, the vegetation helps cool the surrounding area and creates additional green spaces in urban environments.
Maintenance has also been taken into account. Sedum planting eliminates the need for regular mowing. When track maintenance or repairs are required, the modules can be removed using an integrated lifting device and reinstalled afterwards. The system is complemented by the electrical insulation and vibration isolation provided by our RCS®. After all, stray currents are something you simply cannot afford to overlook, especially in green track systems.
Together, these technologies turn green tracks into multifunctional spaces that benefit both railway operations and the urban environment. Want to learn more about our joint solution and its technical features? Check out our flyer.
