Energy on Strong Pillars
E - Mobility at SEALABLE
Free charging for employees
As part of the expansion of our infrastructure, two e-charging stations were installed in the parking lot of our premises in the summer of 2021, with an additional two stations added in 2023. Each with two charging ports, these stations will allow 8 electric cars to charge simultaneously. Work or hold a meeting while charging your battery – definitely a benefit for every employee and customer! And the best part: We provide the electricity free of charge. However, even non-company individuals can charge their cars with a credit card around the clock.
Thus, as an employer, we create added value for our customers/employees while simultaneously contributing a little bit to the energy transition.
Matthias Klug, Managing Partner
Charging time is working time
Currently, there are 12 electric cars regularly parked at the charging stations. With 1,068 e-charging cycles in 2023, the usage of our charging stations has doubled compared to the previous year. The scaling of our capacity is a clear signal of our commitment to sustainability and further supports our vision of a low-carbon fleet. The balance shows that employees are gratefully taking advantage of the opportunity to charge for free during working hours.
To date, a total of 1,760 charges have been carried out at our charging stations, with 26 MWh of green energy provided. This has allowed us to save nearly 27 tons of CO2 emissions over the past 3 years. The provision of green energy is part of our sustainability strategy, enabling us to reduce the ecological footprint of our company and our employees. Franziska Kachel, Marketing Manager at SEALABLE, commented on the offer as follows:
Without the offer to charge for free during working hours, I would have chosen a car with a combustion engine again, instead of an electric car.
This clearly shows us how strongly our strategic goals influence the decisions of our employees.

We quickly realized that 2 charging stations were not enough. The response and acceptance from the employees was great. In the meantime, we are already reducing 6.7% of our CO2 emissions.

Consumption Quantities in 2023
We strive to use materials, energy, and water as efficiently as possible and to minimize our waste quantities. Through the implementation of organizational and technical measures, we have succeeded in further reducing energy consumption and keeping cost increases at an economically manageable level.
An emissions-reducing waste management approach, focusing on the conservation of natural resources, includes the disposal of our waste as recyclable material or for energy generation through the incineration process. With the help of an optimized organizational production plan, we have successfully reduced the total waste volume by 11% from 2022 to 2023.
