Sponsoring I Wrestling ZSG Waltershausen
Our commitment to wrestling and youth in Waltershausen
For over seven decades, wrestling has been an integral part of club life in Waltershausen. Generations of athletes have stepped onto the mat, celebrating victories, learning from defeats, and showing true character. Today, coach Florian Crusius continues this proud tradition. As a former top-level athlete himself, with multiple podium finishes at German Championships and even appearances at World Championships, he now brings his experience and dedication to shaping the next generation.
A standout achievement: In 2022, a B-Youth wrestler from ZSG became German Champion. A clear proof that talent, discipline, and passion are very much at home in Waltershausen.
This year, for the first time in 20 years, ZSG is once again fielding a team in the Thuringia League and we were there in person to cheer them on at their home matches.
For the first time, two junior matches and one women’s match will count towards the overall score in the Thuringia League.

Tradition meets passion
Sometimes, all it takes is one evening in a sports hall to truly feel what community, passion, and local spirit mean. The first home match of ZSG Waltershausen in the Thuringia League was one of those moments.
After a 20-year break, the team returned to league competition and along with it, the excitement for a sport that has deep roots in Waltershausen: wrestling.
From the moment you stepped into the hall, the atmosphere was electric: parents, friends, former athletes, everyone was on edge, cheering with all their hearts. As a sponsor, we were right in the middle of it, supporting our local talents. And what an evening it was! An emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Cheering, tension, frustration, and pure joy all within seconds of each other.
Franziska Kachel, Marketing Manager at SEALABLE and mother of two junior wrestlers, commented:
For us, sponsorship isn’t just a marketing tool, it’s a commitment to our region and its people. We want to help keep traditions alive, foster a sense of community, and encourage children to pursue their goals with confidence. When we get to experience the home matches or the Dieter Allmrodt Memorial Tournament of ZSG Waltershausen - when emotion, passion, and team spirit come together: we know exactly why we do this.
We’re proud to be part of this story. Proud of what has taken root in Waltershausen and continues to grow. And we’re looking forward to experiencing many more of these emotional moments.
I've seen continued progress in performance, and the fans are fully behind the team. I'm glad that we once again have a sporting highlight in Waltershausen.
