13. Apprenticeship Fair Gotha 2025
Successful weekend at the Hugo Mairich Vocational School
This past weekend, from Friday, September 12 to Saturday, September 13, 2025, we took part in the 13th Apprenticeship Fair of the Gotha district and it was a great success! The event was held at the State Vocational School Center "Hugo Mairich" in Gotha and provided an excellent platform for students, parents, and companies to connect and exchange ideas.
With nearly 80 companies a powerful showcase of career diversity
Together with nearly 80 regional companies, we had the opportunity to present our apprenticeships and connect directly with interested young people. The response was overwhelming! Two full days at the fair and our booth was busy the entire time.
A real highlight once again was our duck-shooting game, which was a big hit with both young and old. The line at our booth never stopped growing. There was aiming, laughing and of course, lots of great conversations about training opportunities.
Another highlight was our hands-on workshop, where students could glue together heart shapes made from tunnel profiles. The activity was such a hit that all 50 profile hearts were gone by the end. A great example of how hands-on craftsmanship can truly inspire.
The Apprenticeship Fair at the Hugo Mairich Vocational School marked the grand finale of our 2025 campaign, “Black suits you too”! With this bold message, we aimed to attract young talent and stand out from the market and our competitors. The success we had at this year’s apprenticeship fairs has clearly shown: we’re on the right track!
Commented Franziska Kachel, Marketing Manager at SEALABLE Solutions GmbH, at the close of the event visibly pleased with the outcome of the fair.
Your company must be great. You obviously enjoy what you do.

"Hugo Mairich" in Gotha
With a wide range of industrial and technical training programs, the Hugo Mairich Vocational School offers young people the opportunity to combine hands-on experience with solid theoretical knowledge. Modern specialized classrooms, dedicated teaching staff, and close cooperation with local businesses make the vocational center in Gotha a key pillar of Germany’s dual education system.
The Hugo Mairich School is also an essential partner for us: our apprentices regularly attend classes on site to gain the theoretical foundations for their future careers. At the same time, they collect valuable hands-on experience in our company. This combination ensures that our young professionals are well prepared for the demands of the working world.
Two of our most popular and forward-looking training paths are Machine and Plant Operator, and Process Mechanic for Plastics and Rubber Technology. Apprentices in these fields learn how to set up, operate, and monitor production systems — as well as how to work with modern materials used across nearly every industry today.
We truly value our strong and trusting partnership with the Hugo Mairich Vocational School, as it plays a crucial role in the quality of our training programs and offers our apprentices an excellent foundation for a successful professional future.
